THE SPANISH EXPERIENCE – DAY TRIP

The Spanish Experience is a day trip in which schools come to us to enjoy a dance workshop and an authentic Spanish Tapas lunch at a Spanish/Latin restaurant while watching a flamenco show.

A flamenco dance workshop
in a dance studio accompanied to live or recorded music.
Students will learn the basic flamenco moves and a short dance sequence.
This workshop can be carried out fully in Spanish or using some Spanish words if requested. All our workshops are taught by highly experience authentic flamenco artists.
The venue is within walking distance, between 5 and 20 min, from the restaurant, as we use a number of venues depending on group size and availability we can let you know how long the walk will take when we liaise with you.
If the flamenco dance workshop is booked without the meal we will do a dance display show as part of the workshop.
We also offer castanets, cajón (percussion), dance with a shawl or a fan, singing and Spanish language workshops.
A tapas meal at a Spanish/Latin restaurant with a live flamenco show
“El Socavon” restaurant is located south of Elephant & Castle, SE1 5TY, and serves an authentic array of delicious tapas (these can cater for all dietary needs).
We offer the tapas menu on its own or with a 30 min dance show, which is key to the experience and brings the venue to life! The show is fun and interactive and guests love it.
Maximum venue capacity is 90 (seated). The minimum group size would be 20-30 pupils. For larger groups we can accommodate 2 seatings, while one group is doing the dance workshop the other one is dining and viceversa.
These three elements can be combined to create different packages:
- Tapas menu only
- Tapas menu+ flamenco dance show
- Workshop only (this includes a dance display when it is booked on its own)
- Workshop + tapas menu
- Workshop + tapas menu + flamenco show

Teachers pay only for the menu £20
