Join us for an afternoon of celebration! Dance sevillanas to live music and sing Villancicos (Spanish Christmas songs).

All proceeds will be donated to different animal charities. The school supports and rescues animals in distress throughout the year. To find out more about our charity work click here

This year we will be donating mainly to Jarjeer Mule and Donkey  Refuge and to Dadeg Kamel Animal Rescue and their wonderful project amongst others.

Jarjeer is a charity that supports working mules, horses and donkeys in Morroco, offering them a retirement home after having worked all their lives. The refuge does not receive any funding it relies completely on donations.  The charity is run by volunteers that do not receive a salary.

In October 2022 they contributed to changing history by ensuring that the Government changes the law to make illegal the use of equines to pull heavy carts above their capability.

In September 2024 Susan Machin who runs the refuge was  awarded an MBE for her voluntary work and services to equine welfare in Morroco. The Member of the Order of the British Empire is an award given to people who have made a significant impact on their community through their work or service. She collected it at Windsor Castle and was given to her by King’s Charles. In October 2024 Will Young joined Jarjeer as the new charity patron.

Angela Alonso had the honour of meeting Susan and it was truly inspirational.

“I look up to people like this, who do a service for the community without expecting anything in return. One day I will be the same, donating my time to relieve the suffering of many animals, which I have started doing by organizing many charity events and making donations”.

Until this moment arrives Angela and Ilusion Flamenca will continue to work to donate to this and many other charities.

If you wish to know more about the amazing Susan and how she came to set up her charity watch this video.

Dadeg Kamel operates in Alexandria, Egypt, rescuing animals that have been terribly abused by the public and have been abandoned and left to die. We would like to thank both Jarjeer and Dadeg Kamel for their hard work in making a real change to the welfare of these animals. Ilusion Flamenca School has assisted Dadeg in finding forever homes for many dogs in the Uk. Click here to see her work.
