Beginner Flamenco Taster

Flamenco taster for total beginners!!!

Always wanted to learn flamenco? Try it out before committing to a full course!

Join us for a one-off beginners taster workshop accompanied by live music! This class is taught by Angela Alonso, founder of Ilusion Flamenca. Angela has over 20 years of experience in teaching. 

No previous experience or specific dance attire are required. All ages welcome!

When: Tuesday 10th September 2024

Time: 7.15- 8.45pm

We have some second hand shoes and skirts for hire on a first come first serve basis, subject to availability. The hire of both items is £5. All proceeds are donate to charity. Check our charity work here

Please note: Students wishing to attend regular weekly lessons  after the taster  are welcome to join the  beginner course every Tuesday 7.15 – 7.45 pm in Covent Garden starting the following week. If you can’t make it or miss this taster you are welcome to try one of the regular beginner course lesson before committing to the full course. What to wear for your first lesson?

Ladies for your first class a pair of court shoes or any pair of comfortable thick-heeled shoes will work well, expect a lot of stomping. You may also bring a flared maxi skirt if you wish. Gentlemen, please avoid trainers. 

We have good quality semi-professional handmade flamenco shoes and beginner skirts for sale. If you decide to join our weekly classes we can bring them in for you to try on, just ask your teacher in advance. Please check with your teacher what type of shoes and skirts are required before buying.
