Hola!
Thank you for your email inquiry about our primary school workshops which we have been teaching for the last 15 years. We are an awarded dance school based in Central London. See below general information about our workshops.
THE WORKSHOP
We usually start or end the day with a dance display at assembly for the whole school (we rather at the beginning of the day so the pupils know what to expect) followed by a series of dance workshops where the children learn a short dance sequence with live guitar accompaniment.
The length of the workshops varies depending on the school needs and the number of pupils involved. They can be anything between 15-60 min. The average length recommended is 30-45 minutes. We teach a maximum of 6 x 30 minutes or 4 x 45 minutes workshops unless otherwise agreed. All the workshops are the same (same content).
TEACHERS/ARTISTS
We recommend booking a team of 3 artists, male guitarist, female dancer and male dancer. In most occasions one of the artists can sing too (subject to availability).
We strongly recommend a team of 3 artists because one of them can sing and clap while the other one is dancing and they can do a couple dance display. If the school is a mixed school (boys and girls) then the boys relate more with the workshops if they also see a male dancer. Artists are dressed up in traditional costume and are highly experienced. They have taught more than 500 workshops. Our artists have liability insurance and are CBS checked. The workshops very successful and children love them!
We also provide you with a flamenco related worksheet about the basics of flamenco that can be used with the children prior our visit as preparation for the workshop or after it as a follow up. We do not use it during our visit.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
To give you an idea of costs, a full day 9-3pm with 3 artists ranges between £550-£700 depending on the number of workshops we need to teach, location of the school and travel expenses. A duo would be around £450-£550 and solo artists with recorded music £150-£300. These figures are approximated. We customize all quotes based on the school requirements and location.
It is our aim to be inclusive, so we will strive to give your our best quote so that all children can enjoy this experience.

PUPIL’S DANCE DISPLAY FOR PARENTS AND CARERS
Some schools are keen to share with parents what their pupils have learned during their workshop, if you wish this to take place you may include this at the end of your timetable before the end of the school day. The artists can do a short performance in this time too and even get the parents involved with a short workshop on dance moves or clapping.
If you wish to include this after pick up time it comes with an additional cost.
WHAT WE WILL NEED ON THE DAY
We will need:
A hall/room where to teach the children
3 chairs with no armrests
PA system + 2 mics and 2 mic stands* (If you don’t have these we can bring them with us)
In the case when live music is not included in the workshop we Will require an MP3 player to connect to a mobile phone.
WHAT DO PUPILS NEED?
Pupils do not need any particular clothing or equipment. They may prefer to wear clothes that they feel comfortable moving in, however girls might want to bring a flared skirt and boys a waistcoat and both boys and girls could bring leather sole shoes. None of this is compulsory.
HOW TO BOOK
Once we agree on the final timetable and cost we will send you an invoice which is the confirmation of your booking. All invoices must be paid as soon as received and always prior to the date of the booking unless agreed otherwise.
